ROCHESTER, NY - The Union College volleyball program fell to host RIT in four sets to begin the day but bounced back in the second game, sweeping Vassar.
Rachel Wyman posted 14 kills against RIT and
Kelley White had nine kills to lead Union past Vassar. The "U" moved to 20-8 and 5-3 following play today.
In addition to Wyman's 14 kills,
Lauren Woods reached double figures in that category with 10 as the Dutchwomen lost to the Tigers 19-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-23.
Amanda Price led the team in assists as the sophomore dished out 29 in the loss.
Morgan Clark added six service aces and
Kat Moeller picked up 19 digs to lead both teams.
The Dutchwomen had a more spread out attack in the three set win over Vassar as White led the way with nine followed by the trio of Wyman, Woods and
Alyssa Bonesteele each notched six kills a piece to pace the Union attack past VC 25-22, 25-13, 25-22.
Price notched her third game in four contests with 20 or more assists as she handed out 20 assists to lead Union. Moeller once again led both squads as thr sophomore collected 16 digs.
The Dutchwomen will be back in action this Friday as they host several Liberty League teams. The Garnet and White will be facing Skidmore and Clarkson that evening before traveling to Skidmore to take on St. Lawrence and RIT at Skidmore on Saturday.
