SCHENECTADY, NY - The Union College volleyball program opened up the Liberty League portion of their schedule on Friday evening squaring off against St. Lawrence and Bard on the campus of Clarkson University. The Saints of SLU knocked off the Dutchwomen in the opener in straight sets but Union was able to rebound in the second game, defeating Bard 3-0.
St. Lawrence knocked off the Dutchwomen 25-14, 25-19, 25-18 to start the day.
Kelley White and Rhajpreet Dhaliwal each totaled six kills a piece to top the Union attack.
Kat Moeller picked up 13 digs for match-high in that category.
After losing their league opener, the Dutchwomen responded in quick fashion, taking down Bard 25-13, 25-14, 25-10. White again led the attack, this time racking up nine kills to lead both teams.
Morgan Clark added five more kills and four block assists for Union.
Amanda Price totaled a team-high 12 assists. She collected 14 in the loss against St. Lawrence. Moeller added 10 digs in the win.
The Dutchwomen return to the court tomorrow with two more Liberty League contests at St. Lawrence. Union will play Vassar to begin the day at noon followed by #12-ranked Clarkson at 2:00 PM.
