SCHENECTADY, NY -- New Paltz scored four second half goals to break a halftime tie and win 4-1 at Union College Tuesday night. The Hawks improved to 4-2 while the Dutchwomen are now 1-4 after their home opener.

The Dutchwomen opened the scoring 5:31 into the first half. Jessie Mulvey scored her third of the season with a pass from Alexa Steriti. Mulvey's shot went inside a post from 10 yards out. With 9:42 gone, Deirdre O'Neill's second of the season tied it at 1-1. Her close shot from inside five yards was set up by Caruana, who also set up the eventual game-winner in the second half.

Justine O'Reilly shot in to the right of the goaltender at 51:55 for her first of the year off of Caruana's second assist of the night. Erin Landy picked up a rebound tight in front at 54:19 for an unassisted tally, her second score of the year. The Hawks closed out the scoring at 64:04 as Landy assisted on Kayla McKeveny's fourth of the fall, another close goal through traffic.

Union is idle until September 24 when the Dutchwomen take to the road to face Castleton State. New Paltz returns to action on Saturday, hosting Rochester at 12 p.m.
