SCHENECTADY, NY - Dartmouth scored twice in the final 1:26 of regulation to defeat the Union College Dutchwomen 3-1 in the 8th Annual Pink at the Rink Game.
Union donned pink jerseys, socks, wristbands and stick tape. Two people the Dutchwomen were dedicating the game to, Kristen Shinebarger of Kristen's Kause and
assistant men's lacrosse coach,Nate Greenberg, dropped the ceremonial pucks prior to the start of the game.
After two periods of no scoring, the Big Green found the scoreboard 2:55 into the third period. Zoe Brennan fired a shot from the top of the point through a crowded zone into the net to give Dartmouth the 1-0 advantage.

Erica Kelly who was unguarded right in front of crease. Kelly best Dartmouth goaltender Robyn Chermago to knot the game up at 1-1 with 4:19 remaining.
With 1:26 left to play, Kennedy Ottenbreit scored from just inside the left circle to put Dartmouth in front 2-1. The Big Green added an empty net goal 38 seconds later to provide Dartmouth with the 3-1 final margin.
The Dutchwomen won the faceoff battle for the fifth time in their last six contests, winning 23 out of 44 puck drops.
Rebecca Babiak led Union going 8-5 and
Christine Valente had a 10-9 mark.
Shenae Lundberg stopped 23 saves in the loss and Chemago stopped 14 shots for Dartmouth.
Union will be back in action next week as they travel to Clarkson and St. Lawrence.
