POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Union solidified its hold on third place in the Liberty League with a 12-4 victory over Vassar Saturday at Gordon Field.  With the win, the 11th-ranked Dutchmen improved to 17-0 all-time against the Brewers.

Union led from start to finish, opening a 7-0 lead and allowing only one shot on goal in the first quarter.  The Garnet built a 9-0 lead by halftime.

Union received goals from nine players, including the sixth hat trick (three goals) of the season from Charlie Ross, who scored in his 14th consecutive game.  Nicky Wright scored a pair of goals and All-American defender Adam Sands contributed a highlight goal, cutting towards the net and backflipping a shot over his shoulder.

Goaltender Stefan Basile kept Vassar off the board for 34 minutes, 18 seconds before Sean Brazier broke the shutout. Basile finished with six saves before giving way to Sam Bebout and Cole Gendels.  Connor Hall was dominate on faceoffs, winning 12-of-14 draws.
