Dutchmen Upend Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Science

SCHENECTADY, NY- Forwards Carl Faber and Ethan Strauss each scored two goals to lead the men's soccer team in a 9-1 victory over Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Services in Tuesday's home opener.

Andrew Fontaine found the back of the net in the 12 minute to start the Dutchmen's 8-0 run. Faber followed that up with his first goal of the evening at the 29-minute mark. Both Fontaine's and Faber's goals were off Michael Kaye assists. Freshman Another Kushiana scored off an Andrew Fontaine assist with 32 minutes on the clock. Samuel Eddy scored his first career goal at the less than a minute after Kushiana. Strauss racked in his first career goals back to back to give the Dutchmen a 6-0 lead at the end of the first half.

Over the course of the game Union College subbed in 13 players in addition to the 11 starters. This allowed 75 percent of the team to grab playing time.

In the second half, Charles Leonard opened the half with a goal just two minutes off a Kushiana assist. Faber followed it up with his second goal on the evening. After 28 minutes of play and one allowed goal the Dutchmen closed the match out with a Pedram Malakian goal.
