NORTH ADAMS, Mass.—The Union College men's soccer team split the weekend at the MCLA tournament, dropping a game to Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Saturday and defeating UMass-Dartmouth on Sunday.
The Dutchmen fell 2-0 to WPI on Saturday afternoon. Both WPI and Union took 10 shots, Union's
Carl Faber took five shots while
Mike Kaye took two. Goalkeeper
John Weitzman spent all 90 minutes in the goal and made two saves.
Union defeated UMass-Dartmouth 3-0 on Sunday,
Connor Horan scored first at the 40 minute mark off an assist from co-captain
Andrew Fontaine.
Carl Faber followed that up with his fifth goal on the year from Horan about two minutes later. After halftime,
Samuel Eddy scored his second goal from
Mike Kaye, to give the Dutchmen their game-winning goal.
Dutchmen continue their road-streak with a match against SUNY Canton on Sept. 19 at 1pm.
