SCHENECTADY, NY - The Union College men's soccer team won its eighth game of the season as it beat RIT 2-0 Saturday afternoon at College Park.
After maintaining much of the possession in the first, the breakthrough came from
Ethan Strauss as he found the back of the net for the fourth time this season. The 33rd minute goal put the Dutch up 1-0 heading into the halftime break.
The Dutchmen added to their lead right away in the second half as Strauss found
Vincent Oliveto in the 46th. Union would hold that lead for the rest of the game to seal its second Liberty League win of the season.
Goalkeeper
Jonathan Graziosi recorded his first career shutout making five saves in the win over the Tigers.
Union is back on the pitch against St. Lawrence on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at College Park.
