ROCHESTER, NY—The Union College women's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to eight with a 1-0 Liberty League win against RIT, Saturday afternoon at Tiger Stadium.
The Dutchwomen, who have won four straight, improve to 6-3-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the Liberty League, while RIT goes to 6-5-1 overall and 2-2-0 in conference play.

Katie Monahan scored her third goal in as many games and her third game-winning goal of the season and sophomore goalkeeper
Kelsey Hartsoe recorded her league-leading sixth shutout.
After a back-and-forth first half, the Dutchwomen broke through in the 59
th minute when Monahan slotted a shot into the bottom corner from 15 yards out for her team-leading fourth goal of the season.
Monahan nearly doubled the lead just over a minute later, but her strike crashed back off the crossbar.
Hartsoe made two of her three saves in the final 10 minutes in play, including a key stop on a Abbey Saia strike from an RIT corner with 4:56 remaining, to preserve the shutout.
The two teams finished with 12 shots apiece, while RIT owned a 6-3 advantage in corners, including a 4-1 edge in the second half. Kelsey Rogers finished with six saves in goal for the Tigers.
Union, which has not allowed a goal in 248:11, travels to St. Lawrence for a 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14.
