SCHENECTADY, NY--The No. 14/15 Union College men's hockey team resumes its six-game road swing this weekend at Brown and Yale, closing out its regular-season series with the Bears and Bulldogs.

UNION VS. BROWN ALL-TIME SERIES
Union is 17-22-11 against Brown in its Division I era. The Dutchmen snapped a three-game winless streak against the Bears the last time the two teams met with a 6-4 win on Nov. 5. Cole Maier netted a pair of goals in the win and Mike Vecchione and Spencer Foo chipped in with a goal and two assists each. 

UNION VS. YALE ALL-TIME SERIES
Union is 24-25-4 against Yale in its Division I era and 8-1-1 in the last 10 meetings between the two teams. The last time the two teams squared off, the Dutchmen closed out the game with four unanswered goals to secure a 5-3 come-from-behind victory. Vecchione tallied his second hat trick of the season, also adding an assist, and Luc Brown scored his first career goal.

QUICK HITS
- Union is 6-0-0 when scoring first and 4-0-1 when leading after one.=
- The Dutchmen outscored their opponents 8-0 in the second period over the weekend.
- Union is off to its best start through its first eight conference games since 2013-14, when it went 7-1-0.

- Taylor also ranks tied for third among the nation's blueliners with a plus-13 rating.

CLIMBING THE LADDER
Union climbed three spots to No. 15 in the latest USCHO.com Division I poll and re-entered the USA Hockey Magazine/USA Today poll at No. 14. The No. 14 national ranking is he team's highest since Nov. 10, 2014, when it was No. 12.

SAKELLAROPOULOS TABBED BY ECAC HOCKEY
Alex Sakellaropoulos was named the ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week for the second time this season after backstopping Union to its third ECAC Hockey sweep last weekend. The Tinley Park, Ill. native stopped 78 of 83 shots, including a career-high 52 saves against No. 5/7 Quinnipiac. He ranked second in Division I in total saves last week and led ECAC Hockey goaltenders who made multiple starts with a .940 save percentage, while ranking tied for second with a 2.50 goals against average.  Sakellaropoulos, who has a .926 save percentage and a 2.48 goals against average against conference opponents this season, is tied for fourth in Division I with nine wins (9-1-1) and fourth in win percentage (.864).
