Dutchwomen Close 2015-16 Season at No. 4/4 Quinnipiac and No. 8/9 Princeton

SCHENECTADY, NY-- The Union College women's ice hockey team travels to No. 4/4 Quinnipiac and No. 8/9 Princeton to close out the 2015-2016 season. The Dutchwomen will faceoff against the Bobcats on Friday, February 19 at 7 p.m., and against the Tigers on Saturday, February 20 at 4 p.m. 

What's On Tap
The Union College Dutchwomen continue their 2015-16 season with their last two home games against ECAC opponents Dartmouth and Harvard. The Dutchwomen are in search of their first win of the season as they fell to No. 4/6 Clarkson on February 6. Dartmouth is looking to add another victory after defeating Brown on Feb. 6. Harvard looks add another win after beating Yale 4-1 on February 6.

Melissa "The Cat" Black
Melissa Black ranks first in saves in the NCAA with 1042. She also ranks first in the ECAC with 694 saves. Black ranks 12th in save percentage in the NCAA, as well as sixth in the ECAC. Black collected her 1000th save on the season against Dartmouth. Currently, she has 1042 saves in 1698:20 minutes between the posts. She averages 32.5 saves per game, only allowing 74 goals. 

Scouting the Bobcats
No. 4/4 Quinnipiac has a 24-2-5 record this season (14-2-4 in ECAC Hockey). Taylar Cianfarano leads the team with 43 points (23 goals, 20 assists) followed by Melissa Samoskevich with 31 points (16-15-31) and Emma Woods (8-21-29). Goaltender Sydney Rossman has a 0.95 goals-against-average and a .947 save percentage, with a 25-2-5 record, in 31 games played. 

Scouting the Tigers
Princeton has a 20-6-1 record this season (13-6-1 in ECAC Hockey). Karlie Lund leads the team with 36 points (15 goals, 21 assists) followed by Kelsey Koelzer (15-14-29). Netminder Kimberly Newell has a 1.52 goals-against-average and a .946 save percentage and posts a 16-5-1 record. Goaltender Alysia DaSilva has made appearances in 6 games, has a 0.94 goals-against-average, a .954 save percentage and a 4-1-0 record.
