NEWPORT NEWS, VA.—The Union College men's lacrosse team defeated Christopher Newport 15-8 on Monday afternoon in Virginia.
Nolan Stauffer led the way for the Dutchmen as he scored Union's three goals in the first quarter. The Garnet only allowed two goals in the entire first half, while they tallied seven additional goals.

Jack Scheufele all found the back of the net.
The Dutchmen held the Captains scoreless for the entire third period. Union scored five goals in the third. Kycia, Richardson, Freilich and
Jack Sullivan all recorded goals. The Dutchmen led 15-2 entering fourth quarter.
The Captains scored six goals in the fourth period.
Sam Bebout recorded 14 saves in the victory. Stauffer finished with seven points (three goals and four assists), followed by Richardson and Kycia who both tallied a hat trick.
Tom Lawton went 18-for-23 on the faceoff X with eight groundballs. Hanley recorded four groundballs and had three caused turnovers.
The Dutchmen open Liberty League competition against St. Lawrence on Saturday, March 26 at 1 p.m., at Frank Bailey Field.
