SCHENECTADY, NY - Union College men's soccer won it's third straight game after shutting out Western Connecticut State 4-0 Wednesday night.

Salvador Lopez Jr. opened up the scoring in the eighth minute when the ball fell to him in the box and he knocked it in from point blank range. Right before halftime, the Dutchmen broke away at midfield as Andrew Fontaine sent one in from the left wing finding the free run of Another Kushaina who tapped it in to put Union up 2-0.

After some pressure from the Colonials, the Dutch put the game away in the 78th minute when Fontaine whipped in a corner that found the head of David Olio III who powered home the header to make it 3-0.

Goalkeeper John Weitzman recorded his fourth shutout victory of the season while Western Connecticut's Luca DiCarlo made four saves in the losing effort.

Union is back on the pitch Saturday when it travels to Bard. Kickoff is at 2:00 PM.
