ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY - After dropping a close five set match to Skidmore College, the Union College volleyball team came back to sweep Bard College for its 10th win of the season.

In the first weekend of Liberty League action, the Dutchwomen traveled to Bard for a pair of matches Friday night. The opening match came against Skidmore. The two teams traded the opening four sets with the Dutch grabbing the first and third set, 25-19 and 25-12 respectively. After a tightly contested fourth set that finished 25-23 in favor of the Thoroughbreds, it all came down to a decisive fifth frame. Skidmore grabbed a 6-0 lead and never relinquished its lead winning the final set 15-8.

The final match of the night pitted the Dutchwomen against the match host Bard. The Raptors were unable to control Union's serves all night as the Dutch finished with 12. Katherine Moeller led the team with eight including a stretch of three in a row in the third set which gave the Dutchwomen a lead of 7-2. Union went on to sweep Bard (25-17, 25-23, 25-14) improving to 10-5 on the season.

Union is back on the court tomorrow with a pair of matches with RIT (2:00 PM) and Vassar College (4:00 PM) in Poughkeepsie, NY.
