WESTFIELD, MASS.—The Union College women's soccer extended its unbeaten streak to six with a 1-0 win against Westfield State, Wednesday night at Alumni Field.
The Dutchwomen improve to 4-3-2, while the Owls go to 3-5.

Kelsey Hartsoe, who entered Wednesday's game ranked 13th in Division III in save percentage (.933) and 27th in goals against average (0.37) made five saves, registering her fourth shutout in six contests. Junior forward

Sydney Keane produced a n assist.
The Dutchwomen opened a 1-0 lead from a corner kick in the 24
th minute on Monahan's second of the season. Keane got a slight touch on
Nicole Sturno's corner, picking out Monahan, who blasted a half volley into the upper left corner from six yards.
The Owls nearly drew level in the 51
st minute, but Hartsoe tipped Bella Eduardo's strike onto the crossbar.
Despite outshooting Union 8-0 and owning a 5-0 edge in corners in the second half Westfield State could not find a way through the Dutchwomen's backline.
Hartsoe turned away the three shots she faced in second half and Union held the Owls without a shot on goal over the final 16 minutes to preserve the 1-0 win.
Westfield State outshot the Dutchwomen 11-7 and had a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks. Owls goalkeeper Natalia Falcone made one save.
Union travels to John Jay College Saturday, Oct. 1 for a 2 p.m. contest.
