SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Skidmore College women's basketball guard Veronica Moceri tallied career-highs in points and 3-point field goals as the Thoroughbreds led the whole way, winning 64-35 in Liberty League action at the Williamson Center on Friday. The Thoroughbreds win their third straight game, remaining perfect in league play at 3-0, with a 6-5 overall record. The Dutchwomen fall to 5-6 overall and 1-2 in the league.
Moceri led the way for the Thoroughbreds with a career-best 25 points on 8-for-14 shooting from the field. She also tallied a career-high seven 3-point baskets. Guard Kelly Donnelly notched 23 points on 10-for-16 shooting from the field, adding 14 rebounds. She also added four assists, five steals and three blocked shots.

Abby Katz led the way for the Dutchwomen with nine points and five rebounds. Forward
Sophie Borg added seven points and a team and career high 11 rebounds, while fellow forward
Erin Lyons added 10 caroms.
Skidmore started the game on a quick 7-0 run, the defense holding Union scoreless in the first 3:08 of game action. The Dutchwomen fought back, closing the gap to 9-7 on a 3-pointer by guard
Nicole Conley, but Skidmore held a five-point advantage heading into the second quarter. Moceri's prowess from beyond the arc in the second period helped Skidmore pull away, scoring nine of Skidmore's last 12 points of the half on 3-pointers to give the Thoroughbreds the 30-15 lead.

Jenni Barra brought Union to within 12, at 35-23 in the third period, but 3-pointers by Moceri and Donnelly on the next two possessions put the game away for good, with Skidmore outscoring Union 19-7 in the final period to finish the win.
The Thoroughbreds shot 40.7 percent from the field, sinking a season-high 10 3-pointers, while holding Union's offense at bay, holding the Dutchwomen to 24.5 percent shooting from the field. Both teams tallied 40 rebounds.
Union is home Saturday for a 2 p.m. Liberty League game vs. Clarkson.
