Katie Monahan came through with overtime heroics on Saturday afternoon, scoring the game-winning goal to lift Union College, 2-1, over Clarkson at College Park Field.

The win improves the Dutchwomen to 7-5-2 on the season with a 2-4-1 mark in the Liberty League, keeping Union's hopes of postseason play alive. Clarkson drops to 7-5-3 and 3-3-1 in league play.

Both teams traded goals in the first half, with
Amanda Ashmen scoring her second collegiate goal in the 21st minute to put Union up first. However, the lead didn't last long as Clarkson's Alicia Bushey scored in the 36th minute to tie the game back up.

In the second half both team's goalkeepers kept the game locked in a stalemate. Union's
Alison Sorkenn make three saves in the second half, while Clarkson's Elyse Green made two. Sorken made an additional save in overtime for a game total of six.

Monahan then ended the game for Union's second Liberty League win in as many games with a goal in the 99th minute. It was also Monahan's second game-winning goal of the week, having scored the opening goal in the 2-0 win over Bard on Wednesday.

The Dutchwomen have two games remaining in the regular season. They take on Skidmore on Wednesday, Oct. 25, in Saratoga Springs, before closing out the season at home against RIT on Saturday, Oct. 28.
