TROY, NY - The Union College men's soccer team fell to Liberty League opponent RPI this afternoon in the last two minutes of the game, 1-0.

After what proved to be an evenly fought match, Union and RPI stayed neck and neck until nearly the 89th minute. Engineer Trevor Bisson capitalized on an opportunity with 2:06 to go, when he knocked the ball in off of a header. The goal would be Bisson's fourth of the season and gave RPI the one-up advantage, with nearly no time for Union to try to respond.
Despite the outcome, the Dutchmen did out shoot RPI, 16-12. Union also held the advantage with corner kick opportunities, five to three.Â
Ethan Strauss led the Dutch with three shots taken, one shot on goal and Salvador Lopez Jr. took four shots of his own. John Weitzman had five saves in the match.Â
The Dutchmen return to action next Friday, Oct. 13 at 4 p.m. Union will face off against Liberty League opponent, Hobart College.
