SCHENECTADY, NY – A total of 13 Union players got onto the scoresheet in the men's basketball teams' 89-47 win over Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on Monday night at the Viniar Athletic Center.

The Dutchmen (4-3) were led by junior center
Brendan Laing, who recorded his first career double-double in the win over the Trailblazers (3-6). Laing had a season-best 12 points in the contest while grabbing 10 rebounds.

Only one other Dutchman was in double digits, as fellow junior
Kevin McNoble had a game-high 14 points, hitting two three-pointers and going 2-for-2 from the free-throw line.

Union came out strong and jumped out to a 7-0 lead and net let MCLA get close the entire half, as the Dutchmen led by as much as 24 before halftime. In the second half, Union bested itself and shot a blistering 52-percent from the floor and out-scored the Trailblazers 50-27 in the final 20 minutes of play.

Union's bench contributed a total of 39 points, while the Dutchmen also scored 26 off 19 MCLA turnovers.

The Dutchmen are idle over the holiday break and return to action on Jan. 5 with a league contest at Ithaca College. Union's next home game won't be until Jan. 19, when the Dutchmen host Vassar College.
