Lacrosse takes on Yards for Yeardley Challenge

SCHENECTADY, NY - For the second consecutive season the Union College men's and women's lacrosse teams took on the Yard for Yeardley Challenge to raise awareness about relationship violence.

Both teams met the challenge of running more than one million yards while in the process raising thousands of dollars for the cause.

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness month. The One Love Foundation puts forth the challenge of running one million yards to lacrosse teams around the country to honor the life of Yeardley Love, a lacrosse player at Virginia who lost her life to relationship abuse in 2010.
