Dutchwomen lacrosse shuts out Bard, 16-0

KINGSTON, NY -- First year attack Mallory Toolan scored a career high four goals to lead Union College to a 16-0 women's lacrosse victory over host Bard College in a game played at Dietz Stadium Saturday. The Dutchwomen evened their Liberty League record to 1-1 and are 2-4 overall, while the Raptors are also 1-1 in the league and 3-3 for the season.

M.K. McIntire and Hannah Rosenberger scored twice each for the Dutchwomen, while Union got single goals by Cailin Pandolfi, Elena Driscoll, Emma Lowrey, Julia Pfohl, Corey Golden, Brianna Stout, Ramsey Walsh and Natalie Sullivan. Pfohl had three assists and Ramsey Walsh had three draw controls. All four of Toolan's shots found the back of the net.

Union had a 24-5 shot advantage, including 17-3 in the first half. A total of 22 of the shots were on net, and the Dutchwomen forced 18 turnovers.

Three goalkeepers shared in the shutout for the visitors. Starter Jen Hughes made three stops in the first half. Ellen Taney made two saves in over 22 minutes of play and Hallie Stone did not face any shot on net in her 7:38 of action. Kaylynn Tran made six saves in the Bard net.

Union now has a four game home stand at Bailey Field. The home opener is April 8 against league rival William Smith at 2:00 p.m.
