SCHENECTADY, NY -- On Saturday afternoon on Senior Day, four Union College men's lacrosse players recorded hat tricks en route to a 20-1 rout of Bard College at Frank Bailey Field.
The Dutchmen put up 14 goals on the board before the Raptors were able to find the scoreboard for the first time. Union started out the game quick finding the back of the net eight times as six separate players were able to notch a goal in the opening stanza.
Sophomore attacker
John Edmonds and senior attacker
Peter Richardson were the two Dutchmen players to net a pair of goals in the first quarter. Later in the game, the pair would both go on to complete their hat tricks. Also with hat tricks on the day were first year attacker
Kerry Lyne as well as first year attacker
Eric Zimm who netted his first three goals in his Dutchmen career on Saturday.
Also finding the scoresheet for the first time in his career was junior goalie
Cole Gendels who came into the game at attack and scored off a pass from first year attacker
Jack Kaufman in the fourth quarter to make the score 17-1.
In all, 11 seniors played their final Liberty League home game as defenseman

Union will play it final home game of the year on Wednesday when it plays host to Montclair State. The game is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start.
