CANTON, NY - Despite being out shot 29-9 by St. Lawrence, the Union College men's soccer team ended the Liberty League matchup in a 0-0 stalemate, including a double-overtime battle.
The Saints held an 8-3 shots on goal advantage over the Dutch, with the three shots coming from Dutchmen

Omar Al-Homsi and
Salvador Lopez Jr. Lopez Jr. held the team high with four shots on the day.
Griffin Cowles,
Connor Horan and
Kienan Smith each had one shot as well.Â
John Weitzman recorded eight saves for the Dutchmen, and continues to be the only keeper to appear for Union in the 2017 season.Â

With the tie, Union is handed their first tie for 6-1-1 and 0-1-1, while the Saints moved to 2-4-2 on the season and 0-0-1 in Liberty League play. The Dutch earned their first point in Liberty League play.Â
The Dutchmen return to work next Tuesday, Sept. 26 against St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY. The match is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m.Â
