MAWAH, NJ - The Union College women's volleyball team split on the day for day two of the Ramapo College Roadrunner Invitational Quad.
 
Match One:
The Dutchwomen defeated Ramapo 3-1 (25-20,25-21, 23-25,25-12). Union's majority first year offense proved to share the wealth during match one, as four Dutchwomen hit .200 or over on the day. The four first year athletes who led the way were 
Gillian Gore with 15 kills (.214), 
Katie Moss, who had 10 kills (.200), 
Julia Louis also had 10 kills (.292) and 
Stephanie Libonati had 11 kills (.250).
 
Union hit .209 for game one and 
Sage Shimamoto continues to provide for her offense with 44 assists in the morning match. 
Brianne Hallock had a game high 30 digs. Gore had four service aces and 
Caroline Everts contributed two aces of her own as well.
 
Match two:
The second match of the day proved to be testing for the Dutch. Muhlenberg won three straight sets against Union (25-27, 13-25, 21-25).
Union's offense struggled as Libonati led the team with 10 kills for .500 percentage. Closest to her would be 
Lara Atalay who had eight kills but only swung a .115 efficiency percentage. As a team, the Dutch had 26 attack errors to Muhlenberg's six attack errors. Muhlenberg out hit Union .313 to .063, collectively.
Hallock again had the match high of 13 digs, but it wouldn't be enough as Union's defense added four serve receive errors to the box score as well.
 
Stat of the Day:
666 – Brianne Hallock ends this weekend with 666 career digs. The senior now finds herself 29
th on Union's All-Time Career Digs roster. Former teammate Ally Van Doren sits above Hallock at 28
th with 764 career digs.
