ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY – The Union College men's basketball team dropped a close 81-83 decision to Bard College on Tuesday night at the Stevenson Athletic Center.

The Dutchmen (7-6, 3-4 LL) came out hot and led the Raptors (5-9, 3-4 LL) by as much as 13 in the first half, but Bard came back to claim a 41-38 advantage by halftime. Union went on to outscore Bard in the second half, 43-42, but it wasn't enough to finish for the comeback win.

Senior guard
Kevin Weckworth led Union College with 21 points on the night, shooting 9-for-27 with one three pointer. Three other Dutchmen were in the double digits:
Greg King (13 points);
Brendan Laing (13 points); and
Kevin McNoble (11 points).

On the other end of the court, two Raptors recorded double-doubles in the contest, Justyn Rogers (19 points, 10 rebounds) and Emmanuel Oyakhilome (18 points, 11 rebounds).

Union returns home to the confines of the Viniar Athletic Center for its next four games. This weekend, Jan. 19-20, the Dutchmen host Vassar on Friday at 8 p.m. (ET), and RPI on Saturday at 4 p.m.
