SCHENECTADY, NY – For the seventh time this season, senior Kevin Weckworth bested 20 points in a contest, scoring 23 to lead the Union College men's basketball team to an 80-61 victory over Vassar College on Friday night at the Viniar Athletic Center.

The win puts Union back at .500 in Liberty League play, good for fifth place in the league with a 4-4 conference mark and an 8-6 record overall.

In addition to Weckworth's game-high, senior Greg King recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Fellow senior Kevin McNoble was second on the team with 18 points.

Weckworth scored 12 of his 23 points in the first half, as Union carried a 38-27 lead over the Brewers into halftime. Overall, he shot 7-for-13, including hitting two of three from beyond the arc. He also went a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line.

The Dutchmen then continued to press against Vassar in the second half holding a 21-point lead, the largest of the game, into the final buzzer.
