COBLESKILL, NY – The Union College men's basketball team snapped a two-game losing skid with a 78-60 win against SUNY-Cobleskill on Monday night.

Kevin Weckworth led Union with 18 points on the night, shooting 5-for-11 from the field, including three treys, and making five of six at the free-throw line. However, fellow senior
Matt Liquori registered his second double-double of the season with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

In addition to the two seniors, 10 additional Dutchmen made their way onto the scoresheet, as Union's bench contributed 30 points in the win.

Union opened the contest against the Fighting Tigers in dominant fashion, taking a 44-27 lead into halftime. In the second half, Cobleskill battled back and held Union to 34 points, but the Fighting Tigers were unable to overcome the massive deficit.

The Dutchmen improve to 5-5 on the season with the win as they finished their nonconference schedule. Union will return to the court this weekend up north for a pair of games against Clarkson on Friday, Jan. 12, and St. Lawrence on Saturday, Jan. 13.
