Katelynn Russ had a goal each as the Union women's hockey team tied Brown, 2-2, Saturday afternoon at Messa Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless opening period, First broke the deadlock with a goal from the crease on assists from senior defenseman Arianna Kosakowski and sophomore defenseman Megan Ryan.
- Union took a 2-0 lead with less than a minute remaining in the second period when Russ scored off a long feed from junior defenseman Ava Reynolds. The Dutchwomen took a 2-0 lead into the final period.
- The Bears notched two goals in 17 seconds late in the third period wrap up the scoring as neither team was able to find the decisive tally in overtime.
- Junior goaltender Amelia Murray recorded 27 saves in net for the Dutchwomen,
- Union outshot Brown 46-29 for the contest, including a 15-8 edge in the first period and an 18-10 advantage in the second stanza.
- The two teams combined for 10 successful penalty kills, with Union keeping Brown off the scoreboard on six man-up opportunities.
