SCHENECTADY, NY – A second-half surge by Rochester was the downfall for the Union College women's lacrosse team as the Dutchwomen dropped a 10-5 decision to the Yellowjackets on Saturday afternoon at Frank Bailey Field.

Julia Pfohl scored first to give Union the early lead in the first five minutes. Union and Rochester traded goals over the next 16 minutes, but the Dutchwomen remained ahead with a 3-2 lead, thanks to goals from
Ramsey Walsh and
Lindsay Gerrato.

Unfortunately, the Yellowjackets scored four straight goals to take a 6-3 lead before Union could get another goal.

Cailin Pandolfi scored the final two Union goals, but Rochester would score four more times before the final horn.

Ellen Taney made a total of 12 saves in the contest for the Dutchwoman, while Rochester's Conley Ernst made nine saves for the Yellowjackets.

Union will be back at Frank Bailey Field next Friday, April 20, to host St. Lawrence at 4 p.m. (ET).
