MIDDLEBURY, VT – The Union College women's lacrosse team dropped a 16-4 decision to No. 4 Middlebury on Tuesday night.

The Panthers and the Dutchwomen traded goals in the first seven minutes as
Kellie Cronin scored the first Union goal to even the score at 1-1 at the 6:35 mark of the first half. Unfortunately, Middlebury scored seven-straight goals to take an 8-1 lead in the following 20 minutes.

Corey Golden and
Cailin Pandolfi scored before the end of the first half, but the Panthers would hold a 10-3 lead entering halftime.

Middlebury would open the second half with six-consecutive goals, before
Emma Lowrey would score the final goal of the game for the 16-4 final.

Ellen Taney made 14 saves in the contest for the Dutchwomen, while Julia Keith and Alex Freedman combined for eight saves for the Panthers.

Union returns home to host Skidmore in Liberty League action this Saturday, April 7, at 2 p.m. (ET).
