BEL AIR, MD –
The sixth-seeded Union College Dutchmen defeated the third-seeded Arcadia Knights, 10-3, in game three of the 2018 NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional at Harford Varsity Baseball Field on the campus of Harford Community College.

Union (31-11) opened up the scoring in the top of the first inning with three runs on four hits. Jack Koch singled to lead off for the Dutchmen, before stealing second and scoring off a single by Harrison Glatt. Colin Kelly later singled to get on base before a home run by Sean Cullen put Union up 3-0. The Dutchmen added a run in the second and third innings to take a 5-0 lead.

Arcadia (30-15) got on the board in the bottom of the third-inning to cut the deficit to 3-1 heading to the fourth inning.

The Dutchmen extended their lead to 6-1 in the top of the fifth inning before the Knights cut the deficit to 6-3 in the bottom of the sixth.

Union found four more runs in the top of the ninth inning to put the game away for a 10-3 win. Sam Kirschenbaum led off with a first-pitch single. After an out, Cullen was intentionally walked, and Andy Labeck hit a single up the middle to score one run. Anthony Amoroso followed up, hitting the first pitch for a two-RBI double. Joe Ganim would finish off the offense for the Dutchmen with another first-pitch double to score Amoroso.

Seven Dutchmen finished the game with multiple hits, led by Glatt who went 3-for-5, while Amoroso led the team with three RBI's.

Jake Vesling pitched the complete game, giving up just two earned runs, while striking out four batters for his eighth win of the season.
