Dutchwomen Defeat Mount St. Mary 2-0 For First Win

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Union College junior midfielder Paige Sherling scored the eventual game-winning penalty shot in the 48th minute to give the Dutchwomen their first win of the season over Mount St. Mary, 2-0, Saturday from College Park Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After a scoreless first 45 minutes, Sherling gave Union the lead in the 48th from the penalty spot.
  • The Dutchwomen doubled their lead  in the 73rd minute when first-year midfielder Maggie Weichert finished off another penalty kick to wrap up the game for Union.
  • First-year midfielder Erin O'Shea tallied a game-high seven shots as the Dutchwomen outshot the Knights 21-4.
