Dutchwomen Win Third Straight Game 4-0 Over Ramapo

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Union College first-year forward Erin O'Shea notched a pair of goals, including the eventual game-winner, and added an assist to lead the Dutchwomen over visiting Ramapo, 4-0, Wednesday evening at College Park Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The hosts scored the lone goal of the first half in the 16th minute when O'Shea finished off a pass from junior forward Linsey Giles. Union outshot the Roadrunners 15-4 in the opening period and took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
  • Junior midfielder Paige Sherling doubled the Dutchwomen lead in the 54th minute as first-year midfielder Emma Schleimer provided her third assist of the season.
  • Union added a third goal in the 65th minute when O'Shea went clean through on goal and slid a pass across goal to sophomore midfielder Amanda Ashmen, who scored into an open net. O'Shea capped off the scoring 1:40 later off a feed from first-year midfielder Bella Dworkin to put the game out of reach.
  • The Dutchwomen have won three consecutive games, outscoring opponents 10-0 over that span. The last three-game winning streak came last season, when Union defeated Bard (Oct. 18, 2017), Clarkson (Oct. 21, 2017), and Skidmore (Oct. 25, 2017).

WHAT'S NEXT
The Dutchwomen return to action Saturday, Sept. 22, traveling to Liberty League rival St. Lawrence at 2:00 p.m.
