TROY, N.Y. - The Union College women's hockey team came up short against ECAC hockey rival RPI, 4-1, Friday night at Houston Field House.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Engineers got on the board first, scoring with 2:56 remaining in the first period on a one-on-one chance off a turnover.
- After RPI gained a 2-0 lead early in the second period, the Dutchwomen answered 24 seconds later when first-year forward Cassidy Michalicka scored from distance. Juniors Katelynn Russ and Ava Reynolds were given assists on the play. The Engineers led 2-1 heading into the final frame.
- The third period begun with RPI regaining their two goal cushion less than three minutes in. The hosts added another goal at 10:17 to secure the 4-1 victory.
- In net for Union, junior goaltender Amelia Murray accounted for 29 saves.

The Dutchwomen are back on the ice tomorrow, Jan. 19, playing RPI in the second annual Mayor's Cup at the Times Union Center in Albany.
