ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — Senior Salvador Lopez Jr. scored the only goal of the game to bring the Union College men's soccer team to a close 1-0 win over Bard College on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Regardless of a scoreless first half, the Dutchmen had a significant offensive lead, holding a 10-2 advantage in shots over the Raptors.
- The Dutchmen opened up the second half hungry and ready to score. Lopez Jr. opened up the game scoring with his team-leading ninth goal on the season off a pass from fellow senior Jeremy Conn.
- Union dominated in shots, finishing with an incredible 18-5 lead over the Raptors. Twelve of those shots were on goal for the Dutchmen, allowing plenty of chances to get on the board.
- Junior Trevor Krupp finished the game with two saves for the Dutchmen to earn his third shutout of the season and his sixth win.
- With the win, the Dutchmen improve to 9-3 on the season, and 2-3 in Liberty League play.

The Dutchmen return home to play Ithaca College during Union Homecoming weekend on Friday, October 18th. Kickoff at College Park Field is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.
