Dutchwomen Fall To #5 Princeton 4-1

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Union College women's hockey team fell to #5 Princeton, 4-1, Friday night.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Tigers netted the lone goal of the opening period on a 5-on-3 chance and held a 1-0 edge heading into the second.
  • Princeton added a tally midway through the second frame to take a 2-0 lead into the final 20 minutes.
  • After the Tigers took a 3-0 lead with eight minutes remaining, first-year forward Grace Heiting scored her third goal in two games off assists from classmate Katie Sonntag and junior defenseman Cheyenne Harris.
  • The hosts secured the victory with a goal in the final minute of play.
  • In net, junior goaltender Amelia Murray accounted for a career-high 49 saves for Union.
