Women's Hockey Shut Out 5-0 By Quinnipiac

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Union College women's hockey team was shutout by Quinnipiac, 5-0, Saturday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Bobcats took the lead less than a minute into the game, and added another goal with eight minutes left in the opening period to take a 2-0 lead into the second frame.
  • The lone goal of the second period was scored by Quinnipiac with 13 minutes remaining. The hosts netted a pair of goals in the third to secure a 5-0 win over Union.
  • After recording a career-high 49 saves yesterday, Dutchwoman junior goaltender Amelia Murray notched 48 saves between the pipes in the loss.    
 
WHAT'S NEXT
Union returns to Messa Rink Friday, Feb. 22, for their final two home games of the season against Colgate and Cornell.
