SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College softball team recorded a pair of wins against SUNY Cobleskill, 8-3 in game one and 12-1 in game two, Thursday at Alexander Field.

Game one: Union 8, Cobleskill 3

The Dutchwomen capitalized on a four-run fifth inning, followed by a three-run sixth to capture an 8-3 win. Sophomore
Kendall Rogoff continued her hot streak over the last week, going 3-4 from the plate and batting in four runs. Classmate
Makayla Koehler struck out nine batters on her way to her sixth victory of the season in the circle.

The Fighting Tigers started quickly, scoring in the first and taking a 1-0 lead into the third inning. Rogoff responded with a home run over the left field fence to level the score.

Sophomore Staurt Buxton gave Union a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning when her single drove in first-year
Julissa Malana. Rogoff drove in Buxton two batters later to add to the hosts lead. With the next at bat, senior
Kim Puzo slapped a two-run blast over the fence in left field to give the Dutchwomen a decisive 5-1 lead.

Rogoff and Puzo drove in three more runs in the sixth inning to secure the result. Cobleskill scored two runs in the seventh, but the Union lead proved insurmountable.

The Dutchwomen scored 12 unanswered-runs after falling behind in the first to complete the sweep over Cobleskill and earn their fourth consecutive win. Senior
Dana Dolinko performed well on both sides, going 3-4 from the plate and drove in three runs, while only yielding two hits in five innings pitching.

After the Fighting tigers took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, Rogoff hit a sac fly to center field to plate Buxton and tie the score. First-year
Julia Boule drove in the eventual game-winning run with an RBI double to score Dolinko. The next batter, senior
Kelsey Hartsoe, drove in Puzo after reaching on an error. Koehler's sac fly plated Boiule, while sophomore
Kayla Fisher rounded out the inning with an RBI single to center field.

Leading 5-1 in the second, Boule drove in Rogoff to add to the lead, while Hatrsoe knocked a single up the middle to score Puzo and give Union a 7-1 edge heading into the third.

Dolinko made the score 9-1 after a 2 RBI single through the right side. Buxton drove in Hartsoe for the Dutchwomen's 10
th run of the game, and Dolinko plated first-year
Lindsey Podlaski with a single down the left field line. Rogoff put the game to bed with an RBI double to left center to plate Buxton.

Union returns to action Saturday, April 27, hosting Rochester for a Senior Day double header at 1:00 p.m. (ET).
