CLINTON, N.Y. – The Union College women's tennis team started the northern portion of its spring schedule on Thursday evening, falling to Hamilton College by a 9-0 score at the Margaret Scott Bundy Field House.
 
In doubles play, senior Paige Webster and junior Tal Pezzuco put up a good fight in their first-doubles match against Sophia Aulicino and Audrey Chor, coming up one game short in an 8-6 loss. Senior Alex Greenberg and sophomore Samantha Siegel also fought hard in an 8-4 defeat to Jane Haffer and Becca Ingber at third doubles.
 
In singles play, sophomore Megan Brown came a break short in each set in her second-singles match against Chor, falling 6-4, 6-4.
 
Union will return to action on Sunday, when the Dutchwomen take on William Smith College in a Liberty League matchup beginning at 11 a.m. at the Union Tennis Courts.
