SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Sophomore
Hanna Raymond scored the game-winning goal in the 106th minute as the Union College women's soccer team earned a 1-0 victory in over Trinity (Conn.) College on Saturday afternoon at College Park Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After 105 minutes of scoreless action, Raymond ended the game at the 105:46 mark when she headed home the ball from the top of the six-yard box. Classmate
Emma Schleimer headed a corner kick off the cross bar where it bounced out right to Raymond, who headed the ball through traffic in front of the Bantam net.
- The goal from Raymond was her first of the year, Schleimer's assist on the goal was her first assist on the season.
- Trinity finished with 12 shots and seven on goal. The Dutchwomen finished with eight shots and four on goal.
- Junior goalkeeper
Alison Sorkenn earned her first shutout of the season and the fifth of her career by making seven saves.

The women's soccer team improves to 2-2 on the season with the thrilling win. The Dutchwomen head on the road for the first time this season, taking on Mount Saint Mary next Saturday in Newburgh, N.Y. Kickoff is slated for 3pm.
