SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Junior
Josh Kosack of the Union College men's hockey team was profiled by Mike MacAdam of the
Daily Gazette on Wednesday for his work with "Kozi's Kids", an initiative he started this season to better utilize unused game tickets in order to bring kids and parents from the Schenectady community to Union hockey teams.
The goal of "Kozi's Kids" is to give local students a chance to experience a college hockey game (many for the first time), visit the team's locker room before the game, and get a greater understanding of life as a college student and a student-athlete. The idea for the initiative started late last season, when Kosack engaged with a teenager in the crowd at Dartmouth College and earned a new fan in the process.
