Maegan Teets spent four years with the Union women's volleyball team as a setter. She set new career highs in most categories as the team's lone senior in 2019, including kills, assists, service aces and blocks, and recorded a career-best 31 assists in a five-set win over Rowan to start the season. For her career, she appeared in 50 matches and chipped in 544 assists, 49 kills and 144 digs.

Off the court, the biology major is a member of Union's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Biology Club.

What has been your favorite moment as a student-athlete at Union?

My favorite moments as a student-athlete are the bus rides to away matches. No matter how tired we were, we would always have karaoke sessions and different games that made the longer bus rides worth it.

How has being a student-athlete at Union benefited you over the last four years?

Being a student-athlete allowed me to me have a completely unique experience. As a fall athlete, I went into my first year already with a group of friends I could rely on and had upperclassmen there for me when I needed help. Without some of their advice, I wouldn't be where I am today.

What advice (if any) would you give to younger athletes about their time at Union?

I would tell the incoming athletes to cherish every practice, lift, scrimmage and match since once they're over, they're going to miss them.
