Union Loses 2-0 to Vassar

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -  The Union College men's soccer team battled against Vassar College on Saturday afternoon on College Park Field. The Dutchmen fell 2-0 in the conference matchup.

Vassar jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Quinn Tunnell scored in the third minute. In the 13th minute, Vassar scored again, this time is was Ryan Lane knocking in the corner kick after a failed clear from the Dutchmen. Union out shot Vassar 5-4 in the half but trailed 2-0.

In the second half Union brought the pressure and had multiple chances to score and get back into the game. Vassar was able to withstand the Union push and hang on to the 2-0 win. The shots were tied 5-5 in the second half.

Union (4-4-1, 0-3-0) will look to bounce back when they play Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Friday at 6:00 p.m. in Troy, N.Y.
