Cancer Awareness Night:
-Saturday's game against Boston University will be Union women's hockey's Cancer Awareness Night. This night is being put on in honor of the mother of #27
Maia Martinez, who lost her battle with Cancer. There will be a tribute for her mother and her father will be dropping a ceremonial puck in her honor before the game.
About the Dutchwomen:
-The Dutchwomen are coming off a weekend where they lost and tied to Mercyhurst. Union lost 5-0 on Friday night but bounced back and tied 2-2 against the Lakers on Saturday.

Maddie Suitor and
Celeste Beaudoin had the goals for Union on Saturday.
-Union has had eight different goal scorers in their seven games and 14 players on the team have at least one point on the season so far
-Union is coming off their highest placed finish in conference play at 9th in the conference.
Fresh Faces:
-The Union College women's hockey team enters the year with 15 players who have never played a collegiate hockey game.
-Seven sophomores are returning and didn't get to see the ice last year because of the pandemic.
-Eight first-years will played in their first collegiate games for the Dutchwomen three weeks ago against RIT.
About the #9 Friars:
- #9 Providence College jumped out to a 2-0-0 record to start the season with wins over UNH and Northeastern.
-The following two games resulted in ties against #8 Quinnipiac, the first game a 2-2 tie and the second a 1-1 tie.
-Graduate Student Hayley Lunny leads the team with 3 goals and is tied for the team lead with 5 points
Last Time They Played:
- The Friars won 7-3 in Schenectady in the 2017-18 season. Union scored three time and led 3-1 halfway through the second period before Providence rattled off six goals in route to a win.
