About the Dutchwomen:
-The Dutchwomen return home after a weekend road trip to Connecticut and New Jersey. Union battled against #8 Quinnipiac and #10 Princeton. Union lost 2-1 and 4-2 respectively
-Senior Grace Heiting had both goals against Princeton, while first-year Ashley Adams scored her first career goal against Quinnipiac. 
-Grace Heiting and Celeste Beaudoin are tied atop the team with 7 points. Heiting leads the team with 5 goals on the season
-The Dutchwomen have yet to win at home this season, 0-6-1 at Messa Rink

Fresh Faces: 
-The Union College women's hockey team enters the year with 15 players who have never played a collegiate hockey game. 
-Seven sophomores are returning and didn't get to see the ice last year because of the pandemic. 
-Eight first-years will played in their first collegiate games for the Dutchwomen five weeks ago against RIT.

About the Big Red:
-Cornell has started the season off 1-4-1 with a win against Mercyhurst followed by three losses and a tie against Brown.
-Cornell is averaging 2.2 goals per game while giving up 3.5 goals a game in that same span. 
-Senior Gillis Frechette has three goals and one assist for a total of four points. 
-Junior forward Izzy Daniel has an assist in five is the six games this season and leads the team in points with seven. 

Last Time They Played: 
- Union traveled to Ithaca, N.Y. to take on the Big Red in the 2019-20 season and suffered a 5-3 loss. 
-Union trailed 4-0 headed into the third period, when they tallied three times before falling 5-3
-Junior Emily King scored in game as well as Katelynn Russ and Rachel de Perio

History:
-Union has a 1-30-3 record all time against Cornell. The last time Union beat Cornell was back in the 2003-04 season.
-Union averages 1.8 goals in all time  games against Cornell

About the #5 Raiders:
-Colgate had a win and loss over the past weekend against Brown and Yale. 
-Colgate scored 7 times against Brown for a 7-1 win. Yale shut out Colgate 4-0
-Sophomore Kalty Kaltounkova has 10 goals this season in 14 games and has added 12 assists for 22 points
-Junior forward Danielle Serdachny has 13 assists on the season with eight goals for 21 points

Last Time They Played: 
-The Raiders beat Union 7-0 in Hamilton. Colgate lead 2-0 headed into the third before they scored five times to win it 7-0

History:
-Union has yet to beat Colgate in their all time match-ups. Union is 0-35-3 against Colgate. 
-Union averages 0.79 goals against Colgate including being out scored 11-0 over the last two meetings

Captains: 
-Cassidy Michalicka was named the captain following serving as an assistant captain in the 2019-20 season for the Dutchwomen.  
-Grace Heiting was named a captain for the 2021-22 season.

2019-20 Review: 
The last time Union took the ice was in 2019-20, the Dutchwomen posted their highest finish in the ECAC Hockey standings, placing ninth. The team returns its leading scorer from two years ago, Senior Grace Heiting, who scored six goals with eight assists for 14 points as a sophomore.
