Wildcats Run Past Dutchwomen

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The University of New Hampshire Wildcats scored twice on the power-play as they defeated the Union College women's hockey team on Friday evening at Messa Rink.

The Wildcats scored twice in the first period to jump out to an early 2-0 lead. One of these goals came in the advantage. The Wildcats scored three more times in the second period, again scoring one of the goals on the power-play. UNH added two more goals in the third period.

Sophomore goaltender Olivia Rinzel and junior goalie Hope Crisafi split time in between the pipes for Union. They stopped a combined 33 shots on net in the loss. The 13 saves by Crisafi was a new season high.

The Dutchwomen will look to rebound Saturday afternoon and split the weekend series against the Wildcats of University of New Hampshire at Messa Rink. Puck drop is scheduled for 3 p.m.
