SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The University of New Hampshire scored three times in the third period to pull away from the Union College women's hockey team Saturday afternoon at Messa Rink. The Wildcats won 4-1.

After a scoreless first period, the Wildcats opened the scoring at the 14:34 mark of the period. Union answered back at the 16:14 mark, when first-year Paige Greco received a pass from sophomore Celeste Beaudoin and with a quick spin move, fired the puck into the back of the net. This was Greco's third goal of the season and evened the score at 1. Beaudoin and first-year Maddie Suitor tallied assists on the goal. Union out shot UNH 11-7 in the period.

The Wildcats scored 11 seconds into the third period to grab a 2-1 lead. UNH would score two more times in the period to beat Union 4-1. Union out shot UNH 27-24 in the losing effort. Neither team was able to use the power-plays to their advantage.

First-year goaltender Sophie Matsoukas stopped 20 shots in the effort.
