SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College women's tennis team fell to Vassar College by a 6-3 score in Liberty League action on Saturday at the Union Tennis Courts.
Playing in the final home match of the year, senior
Cathy Xing was a bright spot for Union (2-2, 2-2 Liberty League) on the day, earning a pair of wins at sixth singles and third doubles. Junior

D'Onofrio temporarily knotted the match at two with a 6-2, 6-2 win at fifth singles over Ehnstrom, but Vassar regained the lead for good with wins at second and third singles. Xing kept the Dutchwomen alive with a 6-3, 6-3 sixth-singles victory over Pihlstrom, before the Brewers took fourth and first singles to round out the victory.
Saturday's match was the final home contest for Union's three seniors: Xing,
