Following a scoreless first period, the Tigers got the scoring started with a shot from the point through a screen that found the back of the net. Princeton added another goal on a turnover in front of the net. Princeton scored their third of the period on a fluttering puck that floated over Rinzel. Princeton tallied again on the power-play to close out the second period leading 4-0.
In the third period Princeton scored at the 4:40 mark of the third, making it 5-0. Union continued to out pressure against Princeton goalie Jennifer Olnowich. She had answers for all the Union shots, recording a shutout.
Rinzel stopped 38 shots in the game and Union went 4-5 on the penalty kill and 0-2 on the player advantage.
