SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College women's hockey team fell to the #5 Quinnipiac University Bobcats 5-0 at Messa Rink, Monday evening. Sophomore goal tender

The Bobcats scored three goals in a 5:11 span in the second period to jump out to a 3-0 lead. Two of these goals coming on the player advantage for Quinnipiac. The Bobcats were 2-3 on the power-play in the second period.
In the third period, the Dutchwomen came out shooting, but were not able to find the back of the net. Quinnipiac tallied two more times in the period to extend their lead. Union fell 5-0 to Quinnipiac.
Rinzel was great in net stopping 37 shots and made big saves to keep the Dutchwomen in the game. Union went 5-7 on the penalty kill and didn't have a power-play opportunity.
Union will hit the road for an ECAC weekend matchup with St. Lawrence and Clarkson. The puck drop on Friday, January 21st, against St. Lawrence is scheduled for 6 p.m. in Canton, N.Y.
